About this policy
This policy explains how we handle cancellations and refunds for the services we provide. It should be read together with our Terms of Use, and alongside the specific terms agreed for your engagement. In this policy, “Taxes Done”, “we”, “us”, or “our” means Taxes Done Consultants Private Limited.
Your terms are set out before we begin
Before we start any work, we share an offer letter that sets out the scope of the service, what it includes, and the payment terms. That offer letter, together with this policy, governs your engagement. We’d encourage you to read it carefully and ask us anything — we’re always happy to explain before you commit.
Our general approach to refunds
Because our work involves professional time, judgement, and effort that begins as soon as an engagement starts, fees paid to us are generally non-refundable. We take on each engagement seriously and commit our expertise to it from day one, and our fees reflect that work.
When a refund applies
The main exception is straightforward: if we find we’re not in a position to provide a service you’ve paid us for, we’ll refund the professional fees you’ve paid for that service. Beyond this, refunds aren’t ordinarily provided once an engagement has begun.
Government and third-party fees
Some payments are made to government departments or other third parties on your behalf — for example, registration fees, statutory charges, or fees payable to authorities. Once these have been paid out, they are not refundable by us, as they are no longer within our control.
Timelines
Many matters depend on government departments, portals, and authorities — and on information and approvals from others — which means timelines aren’t always within our control. A delay caused by these external factors isn’t a reason for a refund, though we’ll always keep working and keep you informed.
Raising a refund request
If you believe a refund applies, please write to us at support@taxesdone.in with your details, and we’ll look into it fairly and get back to you within a reasonable time. Nothing in this policy affects any rights you may have that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
